Second Shooters, Gardening, and 5Ks, Oh My!

Hey Folks! We have some awesome business and personal updates for you!

First, we have a new second shooter: Melanie from Melanie Christine Photography!

You will see her running around your wedding day with me if you choose to have two photographers. Some fun facts about Melanie:

  • She loves retail therapy

  • She is an introvert that acts like an extrovert

  • She LOVES hiking and being out in nature!

Second, we have updated our pricing structure.

Instead of selecting a premade wedding package, we give you the option to completely curate a package that works best for you and your honey! Your options include:

  • One-Two Photographers (Hourly rate),

  • A Videographer (Hourly Rate),

  • An Engagement Session,

  • Or a Bridal Boudoir Session

No matter what you choose, you will always receive:

  • A Free 30-minute Introductory Phone Call,

  • A Free 30-minute Pre-Wedding Consultation,

  • Access to your online gallery,

  • Access to our HMC Brides Facebook Group,

  • And so much more!

The Third and Final Business Update: I’m sure you are aware of the Circle B Wedding Venue closing in Isanti.

This has created some financial issues for upcoming newlyweds-to-be as well as scheduling conflicts with their other vendors.

We have decided to offer a 30% discount to any couple who has had to cancel with their photographer due to scheduling conflicts arising from this disaster. Our hearts go out to you, and we hope this helps ease the burden.

We have some personal updates for y’all as well!

It’s Springtime, so of course I have been chomping at the bit to get out in the garden! Last weekend we put in some time outside. Adam and I removed sod (by hand) from the space in between the sidewalk and our house as well as removing a big bush.

Now I’m just trying to figure out what else to plant in that space! A large chuck of it is mostly shade, and some of it could be considered partial shade.

If you have any ideas, please drop them in the comments!

We ran a 5k a couple weeks ago with our family.

It was the first 5k I’ve run since I broke bones in both my feet in 2021 (maybe I’ll tell that story later, haha!) My time was by far the slowest I’ve ever completed, but Adam and I are running three more races this year, so I expect that number to drop 😊

We are also working on home renovations!

In the last month, Adam and Alex tore up all the linoleum flooring in the basement and scrubbed the floors. Adam had to grind off a toilet fitting in the concrete and refill it. The next steps are to lay the laminate flooring, which will happen in a couple weeks. We’ll post it once it’s finished!

ALSO volleyball at Duck’s Sports Bar starts this week.

Adam, Alex and I are all on a team with a few friends and we are so stoked! It’s definitely my favorite sport, so expect to see some Facebook stories where we are celebrating our wins! 😉

If you made it this far, thank you! I will be making a point to update you all more often as we make progress in our company and our personal life. See you soon!
