Maya and Christian’s Engagement
You guys!!! I shot an engagement session for Maya and Christian last weekend that resulted in such a moody and romantic vibe and I literally cannot get over it! It was a beautiful 80 degree day outside, and with it being the last Saturday in September, everyone was out and about that day!
Originally, we were going to shoot their session at Taylor’s Falls, a gorgeous state park along the St. Croix River bordering Wisconsin, but we had to make the trek over to the St. Croix Falls Stat Park in Wisconsin due to how busy it was in Minnesota! I am not making this up - the parking lot at Taylor’s Falls was completely full and the line to get into the lot was about 5 blocks long, making it incredibly difficult to get anywhere in town!
Regardless of the challenges we faced, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. St. Croix Falls State Park offers the same beautiful views, but it about four times larger than Taylor’s Falls, so we were interrupted way less than I expected AND we were able to capture these beautiful photos!
I gotta say, getting to go on a little hike, getting to know Maya and Christian AND taking beautiful, dark and moody images like these make me feel so blessed!
Maya and Christian - I am so excited to capture your wedding day this December, and I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for a light, glowy snowfall!
